Overtime Calculator Pro

Editorial and Source Policy

This policy explains how the site operator creates, checks, updates, and corrects calculator code and educational content without claiming unverified professional review.

Who creates and reviews the site

Calculator code and editorial content are maintained by the site operator. Work is reviewed through source checks, formula traces, automated tests, generated-page audits, and direct comparison with official examples. The site does not claim that a lawyer, CPA, payroll professional, government agency, Google, or advertising platform has certified or approved the work unless a specific, verifiable disclosure is published.

Automation, including AI-assisted drafting or code analysis, may be used to identify issues or prepare changes. Material calculations, legal or tax summaries, links, and page output are then checked against repository tests and the cited official sources before publication. Automation is not presented as an expert credential.

Source priority and fair use

Primary government agencies, statutes, regulations, official forms, and official instructions are preferred for legal, wage, and tax claims. Federal pages use U.S. Department of Labor or IRS material; state pages include the relevant state agency; international pages prioritize the responsible national authority. Third-party articles may help identify a topic but are not used as the core authority for high-risk claims.

Sources are summarized in original language and linked for verification. The site does not copy large passages, reproduce proprietary calculator text, or present another publisher's analysis as its own.

Reviewed dates and changing rules

A “last reviewed” date records when the operator checked the cited sources and corresponding implementation. It does not promise that the page covers every later announcement, local rule, exception, or factual scenario. A content-only edit is not silently represented as a legal review.

When an official wage, tax, or overtime rule changes, the intended workflow is to update the source registry, page explanation, calculator constants or branching, formula tests, generated audit, and change log in the same release. If the rule cannot be implemented confidently, the limitation is disclosed instead of being guessed.

Corrections

A suspected error should be reported through any public contact channel shown by the site operator, with the page URL, the entered values, the observed result, the expected result, and an official source when available. No dedicated correction form or public email address is currently configured in this repository; that is a documented operational limitation rather than an invitation to send payroll data.

Corrections are prioritized by risk: wrong or misleading calculations and indexation conflicts first, then outdated high-risk claims, followed by accessibility, SEO, and editorial clarity. Accepted corrections should include the reason, files changed, before-and-after behavior, tests, and remaining limitation in the phase change log.

Calculator testing standard

Formula engines are expected to cover a normal case, a boundary case, invalid numeric input, rounding behavior, and a regression case. Specialized engines add domain cases, such as keeping biweekly workweeks separate, preventing daily and weekly double counting, limiting reconstructed qualified overtime to the FLSA-required premium, and distinguishing a pay-stub comparison from a weighted-rate generator.

Generated-page audits verify unique metadata and H1 output, absolute self-canonicals, sitemap inclusion, parseable schema, internal links, page inventory fields, keyword metrics, and content similarity. A production build and audit must pass before a phase is marked complete.

Disclosures, privacy, and limitations

Calculator results are educational estimates, not legal, tax, accounting, payroll, or employment advice. Eligibility and correct treatment depend on the applicable rule and facts. Important decisions should be verified with official guidance or a qualified professional.

Calculator inputs are processed locally by the browser code, are not uploaded to an application backend, and are not written into shareable query-string URLs. Timesheet values and the theme preference can be saved in localStorage. Separately configured analytics tools may receive usage data as described in the Privacy Policy. Users should not enter Social Security numbers, bank details, employer credentials, or full payroll records.

Educational estimate

This calculator provides an estimate for educational purposes only. Overtime rules vary by country, state, industry, employment status, and company policy. It is not legal, tax, or payroll advice.
